What to Expect in a Somatic Bodywork Session

Each session with Aspen is unique and responsive to what your body brings and what you want to work on. You’ll start with a brief conversation about what you’re noticing and what you’d like to focus on.

Over time, as you continue this work together, you’ll begin to notice throughlines—places where you get stuck, or patterns you’re ready to shift. Sessions build on each other, and a context begins to emerge that guides the work.

Through Aspen’s questions and guidance, you’ll be invited deeper into your body—into how that context is being held in your tissues, breath, and structure. You’ll begin to feel where you hold effort and identify areas of tension, pain, or contraction.

You’ll be guided to sense how beliefs, memories, and old habits are living in your posture, movement, and breath. Together, you’ll explore these patterns using body-based tools—like touch, breath, movement, sound, and focused attention.

Aspen helps you release trapped energy, process unresolved history, and unwind old patterns. This work is tangible, physical, and deeply empowering in a felt, body-based way.

Aspen's medicine is body-based and soul-oriented. Through touch, guidance, breath, and embodied awareness she guides you to open up stuck energy, transform patterns, release history, and awaken more agency, choice, personal power, and possibility.

Central to Aspen's work is the recognition that the body holds immeasurable wisdom, presence, and adaptability.

It also holds our history, beliefs, patterns and stories. These find a home in our muscles, postures, voice, and ways of being. We become the shape of our experiences, sometimes forgetting who we really are.

But the beautiful thing is, that shape is not fixed. We can transform, open, liberate and connect back to the truth of who we are. We can take new shape.

Aspen offers full presence, non-judgment, and intuitive support as your body unwinds what it’s ready to release.

About Aspen

Aspen is a Montana native devoted to helping people meet life through the wisdom of their bodies. She believes that when more of us learn how to be a body in relationship to whatever is—the emotion, the struggle, the joy—we not only liberate ourselves, we change the world. From this embodied place, a natural compassion arises for other bodies and for the body of the Earth. When we stop fearing our own emotional wilderness, we no longer contract around it or turn it outward as harm; instead, we feel our belonging to the living world. She feels this as a radical, world‑changing act.

Rooted in the wide‑open landscapes she grew up in, Aspen finds renewal outdoors. When she isn’t holding sessions at Enso, you might spot her on the river, teaching embodiment classes, tending her garden, or letting her body move in whatever way it feels called.

With unwavering dedication, Aspen continues to learn, grow, and build community so she can hold space for both personal and collective healing. Her sessions are tactile, interactive, and profoundly empowering, offering you a nurturing place to explore your inner terrain, release trapped energy, and return to the felt truth of who you are.

Aspen’s work invites you home to your body—and, through that doorway, to a freer, more true world.

— E.S.
Working with Aspen has given me back freedom I didn’t even know I was missing. Aspen is the real deal. Not only is she intimately familiar with this work as a practitioner, but she lives and breathes it on a personal level on a daily basis. The supportive container she creates is exactly what you want to get your power and freedom back.
Working with Aspen has helped me release fear around the messages my body is sending, gain trust and confidence in the inherent power that lives inside my body, make new moves in my life, release old coping patterns, and authentically express my soul’s uniqueness. We dive deep into what my body is truly craving, and uncover gems I would’ve never anticipated being there. I would recommend working with Aspen if you are ready to drop deeper into your inherent knowing as a body, and unleash your soul’s magic.
Aspen creates a place of safety where you can uncover and release yourself from old patterns that keep you from what you want. Aspen’s offering is unique, studied, and effective. No matter where you are on your healing path, choosing embodiment is the surest and most-lasting approach. While many modalities rely on the practitioner, with embodiment work you can expect Aspen to pay close attention and accompany you as you remove physical blocks that impact how you relate to the world. Expect to feel more you, more alive and more at home in your body. And know that you have someone extremely dedicated and talented alongside you.
